How to Sign In
  • The first time you log into your account, create your PIN by entering whatever PIN you would like to use into the PIN box and clicking the Submit button. PINs can be any combination of letters and numbers from 4 to 30 characters.


  • If you have forgotten your PIN, staff at any Oakland Public Library service desk can clear it. To safeguard your security, staff will need a current picture ID or your address, birth date and your library card. Staff cannot tell you your old PIN number because it is encrypted. You will need to repeat the procedure for creating a new PIN. To protect your privacy, library staff cannot clear a PIN by telephone or e-mail request. You must visit Oakland Public Library in person.


  • When in the library or at a public computer, always Sign Out of your account when you are finished to protect your privacy.
Error Message Correction
"Sorry, the information you submitted was invalid. Please try again."
  • Retype your library card number.
  • Retype your PIN. See above for what to do if you've forgotten your PIN.
"Your Library card has expired." Library cards expire every year. Visit any Oakland Public library and present proper identification to update your library card.
